Suzanne Moua will speak on vegetable gardening at the February GCRC meeting: Monday 20 February, business meeting at 6:15 pm, talk at 7:25 pm, Hillcrest Community Recreation Center, 1978 Ford Parkway, St Paul.

2012 MSHS - Cole Burrell Tours
Cole Burrell has again teamed with the Minnesota State Horticultural Society to offer some fantastic tours in 2012. Registration is limited for these tours. It would not be wise to wait to register.
The Floriade and Gourmet Gardens of The Netherlands and Belgium - June 12-20
Highlights: two full days at the Floriade; a visit to Bingerden, a historic estate owned by the same family since 1660; Hex Castle in Belguim, open to outside visitors on request only; the private garden of influential Dutch garden designer, nurseryman and author Piet Oudolf. Many other public and private gardens are included in the itinerary.

GCRC 2012 Centennial Gardening Shirts now Available
Gardening shirts to commemorate next year's centennial of the Garden Club of Ramsey County are now available for purchase. The shirts are long sleeved powder blue wash and wear in light weight poplin cotton with a colorful embroidered flower pot design (a modern day take on a 1930's emblem used by the club) aligned above the pocket.
The photo shows our Publicity Chair, Carol Morse, wearing one of the shirts. A closeup of the logo is in the lower right corner. The shirts sell for $28.95. Orders can be picked up at GCRC meetings, or special arrangements can be made with Carol, whose contact information is on the order form.

GCRC 2012 Centennial Garden Markers Now Available
A special garden marker to celebrate next year's centennial of the Garden Club of Ramsey County is now available for purchase. The marker is metal, coated with black enamel. The letters and design are lasered in white on this black background. (See photo, courtesy of John Mercer, at left.) The marker is 7" wide and 5" high with an 18" stake. It can be used in a large potted plant as well as in the garden.
Priced at a reasonable $16 each, these sturdy, well designed markers will add years of pleasure to your garden and/or to the gardens of friends. They make perfect gifts!

Welcome:
The Garden Club of Ramsey County, with a membership of approximately 170, is one of the largest affiliates of the Minnesota State Horticultural Society (MSHS).
Open to all, it serves the community by sponsoring educational speakers at its monthly meetings, maintaining public gardens, holding an annual plant sale and providing expert volunteers to tutor new gardeners, hold workshops and volunteer at MSHS sponsored events.
